Johns Hopkins APL Designs Framework for a Digital Red Cross
In times of armed conflict, the Red Cross emblem protects the people who wear it and the buildings or vehicles that display it — but not their assets in cyberspace. APL is working with the International Committee of the Red Cross to create an equivalent of the emblem in cyberspace that would provide humanitarian and medical operations with legal protection from cyberattacks.
